My Five Senses
This 30 minute educational program includes hands-on learning about the senses we use on a daily bases, The kids will smell, touch, taste, hear, and see many different items and then discuss their findings.
Just One You
This engaging program offers collaborative art and discusses the beauty in being UNIQUE! Students will listen to a story read by a Museum Educator and then create a self-portrait!
Music
This 30 minute hands-on educational program incorporates singing, rhythm, literature and language to explore music.
States of Matter
Students will learn about the structure, properties, and interactions of the three states of matter - solid, liquid, and gas. They will also learn about chemical reactions while conducting a fizzy experiment.
The Truth about Hand Washing
During this 20 minute educational program kids will explore why hand washing is so important. Students will learn about germs and bacteria!
Museum Map Challenge
This 30 minute educational program includes instruction of maps and globes utilizing CMFDL's worldly exhibit design and gigantic globe. Students will utilize a map of the museum to answer questions as they "travel the world".
The Brain and How it Works
What weighs nearly three pounds, is a mass of wrinkly material in your head, and controls every single thing you will ever do? This fantastic organ is your brain! Learn about your brain in this 30 minute program geared toward any age!
A Day of Play
This field trip is meant to provide your group with open play for the duration of your reservation, with no program specified. Groups may choose to include class room space in their reservation, for snack or lunch.
